TTIE’s #WriteInclusion factsheet project – created for writers, by writers – is an ongoing effort to shine a light on the pathway toward more authentic storytelling. We believe authenticity is best achieved when writers from historically excluded communities are empowered to own their work and tell their own stories. Toward that point, in lieu of creating our own factsheet, TTIE is excited to spotlight the WGAW Native American & Indigenous Writers Committee's “I’m Writing A Native Character… Now What?” factsheet – written by committee writers to help Hollywood tell more authentic stories and undo the harm created by underrepresenting and misrepresenting the Native American and Indigenous community.
